An error occurred while updating the firmware time capsule

Because we are using proxy on the notebook and this may cause the problem.

BTW the automatic update are working fine From the admin guide: Updating IPS Manually You can immediately update IPS with real-time information on attacks and all the latest protections from the IPS website.

Apart from the new look, it seems there are no other changes to the software: Use Air Port Utility to set up and manage your Wi-Fi network and Air Port base stations, including Air Port Express, Air Port Extreme, and Time Capsule.

See a graphical overview of your Wi-Fi network and devices.

It has also updated the firmware for its Air Port base stations, and the Time Capsule.

The update is available to download now via Software Update, weighing in at 14.3 MB for those running OS X Lion on their machine.

We are getting an error message when we open the IPS blade.

"error occurred while checking for updates..." When we open Smart Dashboard, does the Manager uses my connections to verify updates?

after Time Machine completes a back up and everything is fine.

thanks in advance, joey Good afternoon, I did set a password when i initially got the hard drive but i think i went back into the app and removed it. The drive was attached when time machine attempt to create the backup.

It works great when i disconnect and then plug it back and start a back up, it's the automatic backups that time capsule is trying to run after the initial one.

You reset your Apple Air Port Extreme or Time Capsule.

You google for it and find that lots of people has this problem but nobody seem to have a solution. The solution to this common problem is: enable IPv6 in your wireless network settings (on your computer with Air Port Utility). It is because fresh Air Port Extreme (or Time Capsule) use IPv6, not IPv4. However it is 100% working solution in my case: no IPv6 — no connection to a clean Air Port Extreme or Time Capsule.
